Very polished experience

I was applying for a part-time second job. Given the demands of my primary job, setting up an interview could have been a nightmare. Working through this app made it a breeze.

Of course, the quality of the experience is going to depend somewhat on the company interviewing you and how well THEY make use of this product. Given how well the interview worked within the app, Im guessing the folks at HireView do some training and/or consulting to help companies polish their interviews. That is probably a crucial but easily overlooked aspect of this apps performance.

Technically, absolutely no glitches. The interview link in my email invitation opened through Chrome and into the app seamlessly with no need for interview codes. Video playback and sound quality were excellent. Visual cues preparing you for the recording of video responses are well designed and thought out. The user interface is uncluttered and intuitive for iOS users, just as an iOS app should be.

It certainly wouldnt replace a face-to-face interview for a full-time position, but given how many companies are moving towards Skype interviews for weeding out candidate pools, I would MUCH rather work through this app than Skype. Great application of the technology; great app!
